艺术的本体是什么?当代艺术是否已经日渐成为一种具有排他性的、形式趋同的、表面开放实则内心封闭的权威体系?如何给予日益冰冷和理性的当代艺术以人性的温度?如何以一个艺术家的方式去介入与其息息相关的社会问题?本次展览即循着这样的一个思路,去尝试做一种微观的视觉社会学的调查与梳理,在对社会问题表达看法的同时也去发现和揭示隐藏在日常琐碎的甚至是卑微暗淡的事物与景象之下的,只有经由艺术的转化才能显现出的独特的审美与诗性。
本次展览的主题将围绕着黑桥展开。黑桥是一个位于北京东五环以外的城乡结合部地带,离798艺术区和繁华的望京不远,但感觉如同北京的第三世界。因为生活成本的相对低廉,这里居住着上万的外地来京务工人员,同时也吸引了众多的年轻艺术家来此生活和工作,黄敏就是其中的一员。对于黄敏来说,黑桥是一个不可知的迅猛的未来与浑浊的不清晰的过去重叠的地方。因此这个展览将力图用不同的手法,从不同的维度来呈现黑桥社会的多层切片,通过多种媒介的营造建构起一个魔幻现实主义的景观。并打破个展的固定模式,引入多重变量,邀请其他的艺术家以及当地小学的孩子们加入该展览的创作,力图呈现多视角的黑桥,在固定的艺术空间和流动的社会空间之间寻找艺术与社会发生关系的切入点。
What is the identity of art? Has contemporary art gradually become an exclusive, convergent look, exterior open yet inner closed authoritative system? How to give the increasingly cold and rigid contemporary art a bit warm feeling? And how an artist today could intervene the related social issues by practicing in art? The exhibition thus following questions mentioned above, and trying to do a kind of visual sociological investigation in a microcosmic level, expressing viewpoints on social problems, at the same time discovering and revealing the unique aesthetics and poetry that can only be revealed by art through the transformation from the normally dim, hidden and trivial things in daily mundane life.
The theme of this exhibition is evolved around a place called Black Bridge village, where located in the urban-rural fringe area outside east fifth ring zone in Beijing, that is not far from 798 art zone and the bustling Wangjing, but it feels like Beijing’s Third World. Since it has a relatively lower cost of living, thousands of workers from other places in China come to stay, and it also attracted lots of young artists. Huang Min is just one of them. Black Bridge, for Huang Min, is a place where the rapid unknown future overlaps the unclear murky past. Therefore, this exhibition is going to show a multi-sliced Black Bridge society in different media and dimensions, to build a magical realistic view by using mixed media. It is also going to break the usual exhibition mode, introduce multi-variable, inviting other artists and students in local primary school to create works for the exhibition, to show Black Bridge in different perspectives, and look for the starting point for the relationship of art and society through the fixed art space and the moving social space.
